Feedback Loop

Feedback Loop is a UX case study created in a UX course at NYU with Ayla Favati, Samhita Tankala, and June Xie.

The design was a social media website for higher education students to review each other's work and provide meaningful critiques.

The product is centered around two keywords:

Trust and Community

Design Process

Discovery

Working through our assumptions and conducting an empathy workshop. The team developed a research plan based on the problems needing further investigation and validating our assumptions about the higher-ed students feel about peer review.

Discovery

Research

We found through our research that graduate students are hardworking and committed to their work. They need to feel understood and connected to their community before they can be vulnerable throughout the feedback process. A sense of belonging helps students develop trust, which bridges the gap between different levels of expertise and helps build self-confidence when both giving and receiving feedback.
